but there can only be one winner crowned in this hilarious foot race between racetrack mascots, this Saturday August 28 at Georgian Downs.

TROT 4 Kids’ own Willie Win, sharp off a win at Clinton Raceway this past weekend, will be returning to defend his title as the Mascot Race Champion. He’ll have his work cut out for him in this field! Black Beauty (Hanover Raceway) is sporting a strong 2 for 2 this season and looks to be a solid contender. Old favourites such as Grandy the Grey (Grand River), Georgian’s Sulky Sam, Jackpot (Hiawatha) and CR Trotter (Clinton) will be training hard this week to get into shape for the fifth leg of this mascot series. The Xtreme Mascot Race will take place after Race Five on the card, with an estimated post time of 7:15 p.m.

Mascots will be on hand near the TROT 4 Kids Activity Centre to meet the fans, hand out goodies and pose for pictures before they race. This is a race you won’t want to miss, so be sure to get a good spot on the rail and cheer for your favourite.
