The horses are needed to complete the field for the Xtreme Showdown, a battle between horses representing Canada’s 10 provinces. The $25,000 dash at 1-7/8 miles will be part of Saturday’s annual Xtreme Horsepower Event.

“Entries for the Xtreme Horsepower card closed earlier today and I’m happy to report that the turnout was very strong,” said Race Secretary Sheri Minler-Grabatin. “Every condition has been filled with the exception of the Xtreme Showdown. We had horses lined up to fill the spots, but some of them fell through. So, there’s a terrific opportunity for horses with a connection to Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or Newfoundland.”
