Stutzman Retires From Training
Trot Insider has learned that veteran trainer Joe Stutzman is giving up training horses to focus on operating
First Line Training Centre.
Stutzman, who was voted the O’Brien Award winner as Canada’s Trainer of the Year in 2004, sent out 3,269 winners and banked more than $48 million over a very successful career.
Stutzman plans on shutting down the stable in September once all of his employees find a new place of employment. All stable equipment will be sold at the Gregg McNair/Carson Sale on October 5 and the home farm with 30 stalls is being put up for sale.
“I would like to thank all owners who have done business with the stable and all employees for their efforts through the last 25 years,” said Stutzman.
