No Elims Needed For S.B.O.A. Stakes

Eliminations are not necessary for either of this year’s S.B.O.A. Stakes, as nine trotters fillies and seven pacing fillies had their names dropped in the entry box

for their respective events. Those finals will be contested at Mohawk Racetrack on Friday, August 27.

Cross Of Lorraine wasn’t kept eligible to $168,303 S.B.O.A. Stakes for three-year-old trotting fillies, and the same can be said for Poof Shes Gone who opted to bypass the event after making an uncharacteristic break in the $750,000 Hambletonian Oaks Final on August 7.

Trainer Casie Coleman has power in numbers in the $164,383 S.B.O.A. Stakes for three-year-old pacing fillies thanks to the talented twosome of Western Silk and Bay Girl. headlining the $164,383 pacing division.

The Fan Hanover Stakes winner Western Silk returned to the winner’s circle in her most recent event - the $170,000 OSS Gold final - for driver Mark MacDonald with stablemate Bay Girl finishing second.
