White Likes Acton Noisey
Two-year-old pacing filly Acton Noisey is helping 26-year-old trainer Nick White make some noise this summer across the Maritimes
.
Undefeated in four starts this year, Acton Noisey is the first stakes winner White has officially trained.
"She's just a tiny thing," the full-time conditioner told the Truro Daily News. "She's just the size of a pony but she doesn't know that. She's got lots of spirit."
The daughter of Harrods-Cora Bell was purchased for a mere $700 in the 2009 Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Sale by Steve Morton of Windsor, NS, who White currently works for.
Acton Noisey teamed up with Todd Trites to win a division of the Callbeck Stakes at Summerside in her July 3 debut and followed that up with a 2:01 career-best victory the next week in an Atlantic Sires Stakes event over an off track. She has put forth two more winning performances in Sires Stakes action at Fredericton and Truro last month bringing her bankroll to $14,670.
Acton Noisey will look to make it five in a row on Wednesday evening at Inverness Raceway in her next Atlantic Sires Stakes assignment, the second of two $9,780 ‘A’ divisions (Race 6) on the card. Trites will be in the bike as the early 5-2 favourite leaves from the inside post position.
First race post time is 7 p.m.
