Hambletonian, Oaks Starters Test Negative
All out-of-competition samples for entrants in the $1.5 million Hambletonian and $750,000 Hambletonian Oaks have tested negative
in advance of Saturday’s events at Meadowlands Racetrack.
Out-of-competition testing is a condition of participation in the world’s richest races for three-year-old trotters. Additionally, no race day medication, such as Lasix, is permitted in the Hambletonian or Oaks. The Hambletonian Society is a supporter of the Racing Testing and Medication Consortium.

How do these 'negative
How do these 'negative tests', on any horses that have raced with 'lasix'
on their charts, benefit the horse or the bettors when their usual meds are banned?
