Dreamfair Eternal Captures Lady Liberty Elim; ‘Mistletoe’ Field Set
Eliminations for the Lady Liberty and Misletoe Shalee were featured amongst Hambletonian madness on Saturday night at the Meadowlands Racetrack

Dreamfair Eternal, stole the show in the single $40,000 Lady Liberty elimination for aged pacing mares while a pair of $25,000 eliminations for the Mistletoe Shalee for three-year-old filly pacers went to Put On A Show and Seriously.
Dreamfair Eternal, driven by Randy Waples and trained by Pat Fletcher, unleashed her well-known killer kick to win in 1:50.1 by three-quarters of a length over her fellow free-for-all mares. The six-year-old daughter of Camluck-J Cs Nathalie got away seventh in the field while Ginger And Fred (Brian Sears) put up a :27-second opening quarter. Making her first start of the year, Not Enough (John Campbell) pulled the pocket down the backstretch and took over, leading the way past the half in :55.1 and three-quarters in 1:23.2. Meanwhile, Dreamfair Eternal, who was spotted third over, angled three-wide and sprinted home in :25.4 to prevail. Ginger And Fred finished second with On The Glass (Yannick Gingras) closing hard for third.
John Lamers of Ingersoll, ON owns and bred Dreamfair Eternal, who has won nine times in 12 starts this season and has yet to finish worse than second. Her earnings stand at $390,500 for 2010 and $1,156,915 lifetime. She paid $4.40 to win.
Heavy favourite Put On A Show and Tim Tetrick advanced to the lead from fourth after Casino Nights (David Miller) put up a :27.1 first quarter and didn’t look back as she raced past the half in :55 and three-quarters in 1:23.1 en route to a career-best 1:50 victory. Dancinwiththestarz (Brian Sears) went first up to finish a length behind in second with Higher And Higher (James Morrill Jr.) following her cover for third. Best Boss (Mike Lachance) and Wenditions (Dave Palone) also advance to the final with their fourth and fifth-place finishes.
Put On A Show paid $2.20 to win. The daughter of Rocknroll Hanover-Steinams Place has won seven of eight starts this year, including her Tarport Hap division on July 24, for $458,900 in earnings. Craig Henderson of Chicago of Illinois, and Richard and Joanne Young of Coconut Creek, Florida share ownership of the millionairess, who is trained by Chris Ryder.
In the second Mistletoe Shalee elimination, A And Gs Princess controlled the pace with fractions of :28.1, :55.3 and 1:23 while Seriously and Jody Jamieson moved underway from fourth. The daughter of Rocknroll Hanover-Serious Smile grabbed the lead at the top of the stretch and used a :27-second final frame to seal the deal. The winning time of 1:50.1 was a new lifetime mark for the Tony O’Sullivan trainee. A And Gs Princess finished one and three-quarter lengths behind with Cannae Cammie (James Morrill Jr.) rounding out the top three. Rock N Soul (Yannick Gingras) and Western Moonlight (Tim Tetrick) finished fourth and fifth.
Emerald Highlands Farm of Mount Vernon, OH owns and bred the winner, who paid $11.00 as the 9-2 third choice in the field. Seriously has won four times in nine starts this year earning $65,820, and finished third to Put On A Show in the Tarport Hap.
This week's $32,000 Invitational Pace went to the Lou Pena-trained Real Joke and driver Tim Tetrick in 1:49.2. Annieswesterncard (Ron Pierce) finished one and three-quarter lengths behind with Golden Receiver (Brian Sears) third.
