Dresden Raceway was the site of a Guinness Record on Saturday as area farmers organized a tractor parade to raise funds for the Canadian

Cancer Society.

Over 1,231 tractors and thousands of spectators took part in an event called "The Greatest Tractor Parade - Driving Out Cancer". Ken Richards, a prostate cancer survivor, came up with the fund-raising idea six months ago.

"Today's turnout is way beyond my imagination," Richards told the Chatham Daily News. "I thought we might get 800 tractors -- but seeing approximately 1,200 tractors on parade blows me away."

More than $100,000 was raised for the Canadian Cancer Society.
