The card of racing scheduled for today (Monday, July 19) at Alberta Downs in Lacombe has been

cancelled.

The Alberta Standardbred Horse Association has announced that the cancellation was due to the effects of an overnight downpour in the Lacombe area and continued unsettled weather today.

The card has been postponed and will be rescheduled for Friday, July 23 upon approval from the Canadian Pari-Mutuel Association, the Rocky Mountain Turf Club and Horse Racing Alberta.

Alberta Downs will host a four day weekend, and entries will start on Tuesday, July 20 for Friday, July 23.

A pair of three-year-old stake finals scheduled for Sunday, July 25 will still close on Wednesday, July 21. Post time for the special Friday, July 23 card is 5:00 p.m.
