Meadows’ Top Trot To BVs Sister

Pushed six wide into the final turn, BVs Sister showed her class and talent Monday at The Meadows as she

swooped the field late to capture the $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Trot.

Assigned post 9 because of the two wins in her last three starts, BVs Sister ducked from the gate, waiting patiently for cover. When Ray Paver moved the 6-year-old daughter of Big Victory-First Breath to the extreme outside for clearance, she responded by brushing past her tiring rivals to score in 1:56.1 at a healthy 9-1. Teagen was second, with Caviar Forthe Lady a rallying third.

Virgil Morgan, Jr. trains BVs Sister, who surpassed $400,000 in career earnings, for Ken Sommer of Sheffield, Ohio.
