Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park will present one more card of racing on Saturday before the action shifts to Red Shores at Summerside for Lobster Carnival Week racing on Sunday

First-race post time for the Saturday card is 7:00 p.m., with Summerside, featuring two eliminations of Governor’s Plate, beginning Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Both weekend cards will feature a race dedicated to drivers competing in the CKG Billings Driver’s Series.

The Saturday night feature has Pan Cushion off the rail for owner Jordan Hicken of Montague. Kenny Arsenault, who has enjoyed a big week at the office, will pilot the Trevor Hicken trainee who won his last start in 1:58.2.

The morning line favorite is Buck Barker from Post 3. Ambyr MacPhee takes the driving assignment this week for owners Brent and Richard Campbell of Charlottetown. Wiggins Hanover is also a top three contender in the field along with Seawind Cockney, Blissful Riddle, One Nation and Richlyn Nitro.

Proven Lover, who won earlier this year in 1:51.1, will compete in the first elimination for new trainer Phil Pinkney and owner Walter Simmons, Summerside. The field also includes CL Eighty, Seannee Lad, Jags Raison, St Pete Star, Pans O Silver, This is your Night and San Marco Hanover.

Meanwhile, Outlawpositivcharg will make his run for third Governor’s Plate in the second elimination. The Terry Gallant top gun will square off against PH Bestman, newcomer Canivore, Cruisinart, Life Savior, Hilo, Mighty and Strong and McHales Gravy.
