Town Pro Begins; Five For Jamieson

The first leg of the Town Pro Pacing Series kicked off Tuesday night at Mohawk Racetrack with three divisions taking place.

Sweet T An Bobbers upset heavily favoured Mcgain N Mcgain in the first $20,000 division with a 1:54.1 final score.

Driver Jody Jamieson positioned the daughter of Another Mile-Ladysalwaysthinkin fifth at the quarter pole from post two before taking command of her rivals at the three-quarter pole. Sweet T An Bobbers then used a :29.2 final quarter to win by over a length.

Sweet T An Bobbers paid $34.30 for the win. Joe Seekman does the training for owner Thomas Peters of Mendon, Michigan. For Jody Jamieson, the victory was the first of five on the Tuesday program for the two-time O'Brien Award-winning teamster.

In the second division, driver Rick Zeron guided Keene Supreme to a career best clocking of 1:52.4.

Leaving from post one, Keene Supreme was positioned third through fractions of :26.4 and :55.1 before attacking the pace setter Strait N Great just past the three-quarter pole in 1:23.3. Zeron and Keene Supreme used a :28.3 final quarter to capture the victory.

She is trained by Dean Glispie for owner William and Elizabeth Keene and Douglas Bartley. Keene Supreme paid $17.10 for the win.

Another lifetime best came in the final division of the Town Pro Pacing Series as Rebeka Bayama cruised to a 1:53.1 score.

Driver Sylvain Filion put the daughter of Leader Bayama-Joyce Bayama on the front past a opening half of :56.1. Rebeka Bayama then cruised to a three-length victory for owner Bayama Farms Inc and trainer Yves Fillion

The second leg of the Town Pro Pacing Series resumes next Tuesday night at Mohawk Racetrack. Post time is 7:30 p.m.
