Trainer-driver Kayne Kauffman drove the 4-year-old trotting mare to victory in 2:00.2 by 1-1/2 lengths over Clems Pride, Count N Caloris, and Fried By Five. It was the second win of the season for Barbies Secrit in seven starts. She had been racing at Hoosier Park, but was scratched sick from her most recent start.
The previous night’s racing program at Scioto started with The Libbertariann winning and paying $144.20 to win.
Too Good To Pass lived up to his name in an impressive 1:56.2 win in the fastest division of the Dream Of Glory Series for trotters on Friday night. He scored for driver Dan Noble, trainer Virgil Morgan, Jr. and owners Y. Prudenzano and B. Kellis. It was the third win in five starts this season for the Jailhouse Jesse colt. He led all the way and won comfortably by 1-1/4 lengths. Over Spurred was second while Shelby County picked up the third-place check.
Favoured Buckeye Man took the other division of the Dream Of Glory Series for trotters on Friday night as he scored for trainer Dee Hotton and driver Chip Noble in 1:57.3. It was the third win in four starts this season for the sophomore gelding by Jailhouse Jesse. He prevailed over Hezahumer and Not To Be Denied. Trainer Hotton co-owns the winner with R.R. Fuller.
