Georgian Feature To Primary Purpose
After a couple of tough losses in recent weeks at Western Fair Raceway and Mohawk Racetrack, O.S.S. graduate Primary Purpose took his show on the road to Georgian Downs on Tuesday night
.
The move proved to be a profitable one for the four-year-old son of Cammibest, who steamrolled over the competition in an impressive clocking of 1:51.4 for driver Robert Shepherd.
Primary Purpose took full advantage of his pole position starting spot by rolling to the lead and carving panels of :27, :56.4 and 1:24.3. He had plenty of pace left in reserve for the final quarter, as noted in the :27.1 closing panel he kicked out en route to posting the one-length score in 1:51.4. Tackie Toe was second and Rave On finished third.
Trainer/breeder Rod “Root Beer” Therres co-owns the gelding with Charles MacFarlane of Victoria, BC. The partners have watched the pacer pick up 14 lifetime wins while banking $395,999 in the process.
