Yesterday's edition of the Edmonton Journal contained an extended obituary for longtime Northlands Park employee Glen Weir, the former mutuels manager that lost his battle with cancer on May 22

.

The obituary contains many quotes from former co-workers of the 59-year-old.

The overriding theme to the obituary is that Weir was very a modest, private man.
