Saturday's NJSS Finals Drawn

Rock N Roll Heaven and Put On A Show, both by Rocknroll Hanover, have been installed as the morning-line favourites in their respective $200,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes final for three-year-old pacers on Saturday, May 29

at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

Rock N Roll Heaven, the winner of the $220,000 Berry’s Creek on May 8, is the 2-1 pick in the division for colts and geldings, carded as the sixth race. Put On A Show headlines the filly division as the 5-2 choice in the fifth race. Both pacers coincidentally drew Post 9 in their heat.

Rock N Roll Heaven, driven by Daniel Dube and trained by Bruce Saunders, has won his last two starts and has three wins and one third in four starts this year, adding $136,200 to his career bankroll of $728,826 for owner Frank Bellino of Bronxville, NY.

At two, Rock N Roll Heaven won his $200,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes final at the Meadowlands and a division of the Bluegrass Stakes at Lexington’s Red Mile. He was second in both the $1 million Metro Pace and $600,000 Governor’s Cup.

Put On A Show, who will be handled by Tim Tetrick for trainer Chris Ryder, won her only start this year, an opening leg of the New Jersey Sire Stakes.

Lifetime, she has eight wins and two seconds from 10 starts, earning $750,708 for the partnership of Craig Henderson of Chicago, IL and Richard P and Joanne Young of Coconut Creek, FL.

In 2009, she won her first eight starts, including a $110,802 division of the Eternal Camnation Stakes and the $745,476 Shes A Great Lady Stakes, both at Mohawk, and a division of the International Stallion Stakes at the Red Mile. She was second to Fancy Filly in the $610,000 Breeders Crown.

While not all great race mares retire to become superior broodmares that is the case with the dams of both of these pacers, both of whom are daughters of the late Artsplace. Rock N Roll Heaven is out of multi-stakes winner Artistic Vision who earned nearly $635,000 on the track. Put On A Show is a daughter of Steinams Place, a $732,398 earner and Three-Year-Old Pacing Filly of the Year in 1997.
