Clark’s Troops Triple Up
After back-to-back canceled cards due to poor track conditions caused by heavy rain, racing resumed at Alberta Downs on Monday with the sun - and students from the Keith Clark Stable - shining

The Hall-of-Fame horseman enjoyed a training and driving triple on the 10-race program thanks to wins with Lady And Thetrench (1:58.4), Rossridge Fortune (1:57.2) and Clintons Escape (1:56.4).
His victory with Lady And Thetrench came in the featured $10,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace. The four-year-old Armbro Trench miss carved out panels of :30.2, 1:00.3 and 1:30.4 before sprinting home in a :28-second clip to seal the deal. Sign Ofthe Day was next best and Goodbadanddeugly N was third.
Clark shares ownership on the mare with Calgarians Pat Elynuik and John Hind. The win was her third of the season and the 10th of her career. She has banked more than $144,000 to date.

In light of the weekend cancellations, Saturday’s card will be replaced with a Tuesday, May 25 program starting at 4 p.m., while the Sunday card has been moved to Wednesday, May 26 with a 4:00 p.m. post time as well.
