NYSS: Yearling Noms. Due May 15

The Agriculture & New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund today reminds horsemen that New York Sire Stakes yearling nomination payments are

due Saturday, May 15. The payments are $50 for each yearling (foals of 2009) you wish to nominate to the New York Sire Stakes No. 51. Yearlings must be named and registered with the USTA. The yearlings must be foals of registered mares bred in New York State in 2008 to NYSS-eligible stallions.

Payments are accepted in US funds in cheques or money orders. Since May 15 is a Saturday this year, payments may be mailed out by the next business day, Monday, May 17, 2010.

To make your nomination(s), please fill out the NYSS No. 51 Nomination Form and mail it with your payment and a copy of the USTA Registration Certificate to:

The Agriculture & New York State
Horse Breeding Development Fund
90 State Street, Suite 809

Please make cheques and money orders payable to Agriculture & New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund (ANYSHBDF).

If you miss the May 17 deadline, you must pay a $500 supplemental payment, which is payable from May to February 15 of the two-year-old year.

If you use the USTA's paperless registration, please indicate so on the NYSS form.
