The Saint John Harness Horsemen's Association Awards Banquet took place on Saturday evening at the Fort Howe Hotel and Convention Centre

, with the top horses and horsemen for the 2009 season being honoured for their achievements.

Ken Warkentin, who ranks as one of the sport’s top announcers and television commentators, was a special guest speaker at this year’s banquet.

Allbentouttashape took home a pair of awards for his connections. He was presented the Two-Year-Old Colt Pacer of the Year award in addition to being awarded Horse of the Year honours.

The son of Quick Comeback-C A Lady reeled off seven consecutive wins to end his rookie campaign for the Dooley Boys Racing Stable of Halifax, NS. The pacer put together a 13-3-0 record and banked $76,957 during his 16-start season. Trainer Sean Dooley shared the driving duties on the gelding throughout his freshman campaign with Kenny Arsenault.
