Grand River Raceway in Elora, Ontario recognized the recipients of its 2009 Top Performer Awards on Tuesday evening. The 13 award winners were presented with their hardware during the track’s race broadcast

.

Six people and seven horses made the honour roll from the track’s 69-day meet including the Top Female Claimer, Surprise Factor.

She was one of three winners sent out by trainer Michael Kwietniowski on the Tuesday evening card. Surprise Factor stopped the clock in 1:59 en route to notching her third win of the year. Stablemates Boomers Best Bet (1:58.1) and Intended Champion (1:58.2) also factored into Kwietniowski’s training triple.
