Markham fair racing has to
Markham fair racing has to get support from local sources.
WEG has multiple starting gates and could donate the transportation of one for a tax write off.
Magna entertainment owns a tote company and is headquartered in Aurora, again, Frank although he is in bankrupcy protection, could get a write off for supporting local racing.
How about the OLGC set up temporary slots for the fair to fund the racing? I know this would certainly generate the income required to offset the expense, and fall in line with the original mandate to promote harness racing. Windsor turned it's art gallery into a temporary casino to get the slots off the ground in Ontario in the 1990's.
Perhaps COSA should roll up their sleeves and pitch in, they are the partner for the region with the racetracks!
Just a few ideas of who to tap on the shoulder for a little support. I know my family had a great time last year at the Markham fair races in spite of the rain!
