Missed Tide, Fussys Bad Take Dover Features

Missed Tide made up for breaking stride last week with a 1:51.4 victory in a $16,500 four and five-year-old pace, while in the next race Fussys Bad came on for a 1:54.1 decision in a similar event for distaffs on Sunday, April 11 at Dover Downs. The meet's leading driver, Corey Callahan, had three wins.

Corey Callahan and Missed Tide chased Break My Art (driven by Tony Morgan) through the lane before finally passing his rival nearing the finish line in a 1:51.4 mile. Mike Horsey owns and trains the Misfit--Mannart High Tide gelding which won for the fifth time in nine starts this year. Callmecowboy (Brad Hanners) was the third-place finisher.

Bib Roberts' Fussys Bad was strongest in the stretch in a 1:54.1 score in the first of two $16,000 four and five-year-old mares paces. The Badlands Hanover--Fussys Girl five-year-old has now three wins, two seconds and three thirds in nine races this year. It was the second win of the day for driver Jon Roberts. Sonador (Ross Wolfenden) was the place horse. Real Shark (Corey Callahan) was third.

Wen Im The Best gave Ross Wofenden his second win scoring a 1:54.3 triumph in a second $16,000 four and five-year-old mares pace. The win was the third in a row for the Cammibest--Wendells Sister four-year-old trained by Joe Hundertpfund. Debs Girloffortune (Art Stafford, Jr.) was runner-up. If Only You Knew (Ron Pierce) was the show finisher.

The final four days of the 2009-2010 Dover Downs meet begin at 4:30 p.m. through closing day, Thursday, April 15.
