Identities Of Ohio Fire Victims Confirmed

While the State Fire Marshal’s office has not completed its investigation into the cause of the Lebanon Raceway barn fire on December 5, the bodies of two men found have been officially confirmed

.

The Dayton Daily News has reported that the Warren County Coroner’s Office announced on Tuesday that DNA tests officially confirmed the identities of two veteran grooms lost in the fire, Ronnie Williams of Lebanon, and James “Turtle” Edwards of East St. Louis, Illinois, allowing the bodies to be released.

A funeral service for Williams is slated for 12 noon April 17 at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, while arrangements are still pending for Edwards with the Stine-Kilburn Funeral Home.

Over 40 standardbred horses were also lost in the Barn 16 blaze.
