Hanover Raceway announced today that there will not be a Hanover Backstretch Mixed Sale this year

The Hanover Backstretch Sale combined up to 50 local horses and equipment, and is conducted by Parrish Auction Services on the last Sunday of April each spring.

However, Hanover Raceway General Manager Gord Dougan has said that the Parrish Auction Service is not available to organize the event this year.

Dougan also added that interest has also been down this year due to the addition of the McNair Sale in Elora, Ont.

Dougan has said that he hopes there will be renewed interest in the sale in 2011.
