Tara Hills To Sponsor Frank Ryan
Rideau Carleton Raceway is proud to announce that one of its signature events, the Frank Ryan Memorial Trot, will have a major title sponsor this year in Tara Hills Stud
Farms.
Tara Hills, located in Port Perry, Ontario, is home to a number of champion harness racing stallions, including Rideau Carleton Raceway's track record holder for aged trotters, Majestic Son.
Dave Heffering, general manager of Tara Hills, said the partnership is a ground breaking one.
“I’m not aware of a breeding facility or stud farm anywhere in Canada that is sponsoring a major stakes race," said Heffering. "But beyond that, the marketing opportunities this partnership gives us over the year will put Tara Hills Farms top of mind within the racing community.”
The partnership will stretch over a one year period according to Rideau Carleton’s Norm Borg.
“The advertising vehicles we have here, through our race programs, Bettors Edge handicapping sheets, television simulcasts and website will give Tara Hills blanket coverage like no other operation of its kind,” said Borg.
This year’s 46th edition of the Frank Ryan Memorial Trot will be contested on Sunday, August 29 at Rideau Carleton Raceway.
