Pocono Downs today announced that a qualifying date scheduled for later this month has been moved

The qualifying date, which was scheduled for the morning of Thursday, April 15, has been moved to Wednesday, April 14. First-race post time is 10:00 a.m.

The track's vice president of racing, Dale Rapson, and Saul Needle, the track's director of racing, have stated that the date was moved to accommodate contractors working on an infield renovation project at the Northeastern Pennsylvania racetrack.

The renovations include the erection of a jumbo screen and the installation of a pond.

The project is expected to be completed by May 1, weather permitting.
