Threepeat For Autumn Magic

Taking a page from her own book, Autumn Magic sprinted to the lead, controlled the fractions and held on late to capture her third straight in Monday’s $25,000 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows

.

On March 29, Autumn Magic took the lead from post six, pocketed Spring Break and downed that rival by a head. It was déjà vu all over again Monday when Dave Palone sent Autumn Magic to the front from post six, leaving Spring Break in the pocket again. After a mild :29.2 second quarter, Autumn Magic had plenty left for a :27.3 dash home. She scored in 1:52.3, a neck better than Spring Break, with Francies Dream third.

Kevin McDermott trains Autumn Magic, a five-year-old daughter of Jennas Beach Boy-Swinging Rita, for Fran Azur.
