Deadline Looming For NJSS Payments

Horsemen are reminded that April 15 is last chance for New Jersey-sired two-year-old and three-year-old pacers and trotters to be kept eligible to the 2010 N. J. Sire Stakes Premier and Green Acres

pari-mutuel racing programs.

The NJSS Premier Division begins in May at The Meadowlands and in August at Freehold Raceway. The Green Acres Division begins in August at Freehold.

Due to a change in the racing schedule at The Meadowlands, the first leg of the New Jersey Sire Stakes Premier Division for two-year-old trotting fillies has been changed from Sunday, June 20, to Thursday, June 24. The complete NJSS racing schedule and estimated purses for 2010 can be found at www.newjerseysirestakes.com.

Due on April 15 are: $150 Green Acres Division payments for two-and three-year-olds, $550 Premier Division payments for two-year-olds and $650 Premier Division payments for three-year-olds. This second sustaining payment must be made in order to keep horses eligible for all 2010 NJSS races.

Horse owners are urged to use certified mail. No billing notices are sent and no late payments will be accepted. Checks should be made payable in U. S. funds to NJSS, P.O. Box 330, Trenton, NJ 08625.
