With odds of 20-1, Lothlorien's Rockin Image comes in at #7 in the NA Cup Spring Book Top 10. Trainer Jimmy Takter recently provided Trot Insider with an update.
Where did he spend the winter and what has he been like coming back?
"He’s been spending the winter up at my farm in New Jersey and the horse is coming back fantastic. Very good."
Have you noticed any changes in the horse compared to last year?
"He’s coming back very good. He was a good, big, growthy colt last year and he did very well. He’s more refined now and he’s more mature. He’s looking really good. I expect him to win that race up there. I’m planning to win that race and the Meadowlands Pace. That’s my two goals. I’ve never been in the North America Cup and I would love to have the horse at his best up there."
What is the timeline like for him leading up to the Cup, including qualifiers and prep races?
"I think I’m going to qualify him sometime in early May and have him ready for the New Jersey Sire Stakes at The Meadowlands first and then start to head up for the big ones."
