Georgian Downs To Host 2010 TCNHC

Standardbred Canada is pleased to announce that this year’s edition of the Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship is scheduled for Saturday, October 30 at Georgian Downs in Innisfil, Ont.
Participants can look forward to luxury accommodation at nearby Horseshoe Valley Resort where they will be hosted by Standardbred Canada for the weekend.
The 2010 event will mark the fourth consecutive year that Standardbred Canada has co-ordinated this national handicapping initiative.
“We are looking forward to hosting this national event and treating all of the Canadian participants to a first-class experience between our track facility and Horseshoe Valley Resort," Georgian Downs Marketing Manager Jackie Warner explained. "It will be a really unique experience for the players and their guests.”
The Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship is a nationwide initiative aimed at fans and horseplayers. During the next seven months, racetracks and industry organizations across Canada will hold regional qualifying events.
Roy Sproxton, 36 of Brampton, Ont., won the $25,000 grand prize for the 2009 TCNHC, which was hosted at Rideau Carleton Raceway last November.
This year’s TCNHC grand prize is also an estimated $25,000.
