Poseidon Seelster Impressive Again
Poseidon Seelster made a splash one week ago with a return to the racetrack in qualifying action, and the speedy five-year-old sharpened for pari-mutuel action with a second solid qualifier on Friday (Jan. 14) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Driver Trevor Henry settled Poseidon Seelster into second behind Dreamfair Moxy through an opening panel of :28.1 before looping to the lead down the backside. After a :58 half, Poseidon Seelster found another gear and quickly opened up some serious separation. The third quarter was reached in 1:25.4 with a near eight-length margin, and the lead was lengthened to double digits when Poseidon Seelster tripped the timer in 1:53.3.
Don Lindsey of Fergus trains and co-owns Poseidon Seelster along with Paul Kleinpaste of Orangeville, Garth Bechtel of Meaford and Will Alempijevic of Forest Hills, N.Y. The son of Sunshine Beach - Porsche Seelster sports a mark of 1:47.4 and looks to be a serious threat in the older pacing ranks.
