January's Calendar Photographer

The 2022 Heart of Harness Racing Calendar’s photographer for January and the cover shot is Jackie McManus, of Komoka, Ont., who captured this wintry photo of foals in the paddock at Dreamfair Farm in Ingersoll, Ont., on Jan. 2, 2021.

The calendar will be coming to the mailbox of SC members* with the January issue of TROT Magazine.

Each year, the calendar showcases photos from members and racing fans who are asked to submit photos that depict “the heart of harness racing.” The calendar project is supported by many tracks and associations, and SC would like to thank this month's calendar sponsor, The Raceway at the Western Fair District.

Jackie, who has been a regular contributor to the calendar, ventures to Dreamfair Farm a few times a month to take photos and videos for the Own A Standardbred (OAS) Fractional Horse Ownership Group, which she facilitates.

This year, we are asking our calendar photographers some “Rapid Fire” questions to gain a little bit more insight into their harness racing favourites.
