Five Straight For Perle Duharas

The win streak is now five-in-a-row and counting for the white hot pacing mare Perle Duharas, who stepped to a career-best clocking of 1:52.1 against claiming foes at Woodbine Racetrack on Thursday evening

.

The seven-year-old daughter of Pearl River Matt parked into the backstretch before finding the lead for driver Simon Allard, but once she claimed the front she wasn’t all that keen on giving it up.

Perle Duharas hit the half in :55.3 and was pressed to the three-quarter pole in 1:24, but she still had enough in reserve to fire home in :28.1 en route to freezing the teletimer in 1:52.1 for trainer Rene Allard, who shares ownership on the mare with Robert Cloutier and Ferme Bureau Et Fils Senc of Quebec.

The victory was her sixth score of the season in just eight trips to the track, and it bumped her lifetime win total to 33. She has already banked over $40,000 this year and more than $266,000 to date.
