Packed Holiday Schedule At Mohawk
Woodbine Mohawk Park continues its exciting Standardbred holiday racing program featuring stakes finals and a mandatory Jackpot Hi-5 payout ready to make someone’s holiday wishes come true.
The festivities kick off on Thursday, Dec. 23, with the $489,248.24 mandatory Jackpot Hi-5 waiting to be claimed. In addition, a trio of Pop-Up Series for both pacers and trotters are scheduled, with post time at 7 p.m.
Woodbine Mohawk Park will not race on Friday, Dec. 24 or Saturday, Dec. 25, as the track's horsepeople and staff enjoy time with their families.
On December 26, an action-packed, 13-race Boxing Day matinee is scheduled, including the Niagara Pacing Series final for three-year-old filly pacers. After being delayed a week, the second leg of the Valedictory Series will also resume for three-year-old pacing colts, with the Preferred Pace the cherry on top of a stellar day. Post time for the Boxing Day card is 1 p.m.
The regular racing schedule will resume on December 27 with the Claiming Pop-Up Series final, the second leg of the condition Pop-Up pacing event, and the Preferred Trot*. Racing will continue December 30. Both cards will have 7 p.m. post times.
Continuing with the celebrations, bring in 2022 with your favourite equine friends as the New Year’s Eve card begins at 7 p.m.
After celebrating the stroke of midnight, racing will return on New Year’s Day with the Valedictory Series final. Post time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
