The BC Standardbred Association & Breeders Society has released the names of the horsepeople and equine performers that have been nominated for the

organization's 2009 awards.

The winners will be announced at the awards gala, which will be held Monday, March 22 at Newlands Golf and Country Club in Langley. Awards for both the BC Standardbred Association and BC Standardbred Breeders Society will be presented.

The evening will include a buffet dinner which will be followed by the awards ceremony. An opportunity to dance and socialize will follow the awards presentation.

Tickets are $35 each, but if a purchaser buys a full table of eight tickets the purchaser can get them for $25 each.

Tickets may be purchased through the Harness Racing BC Office.
