Badlands Nitro, absent from racing since the 2008 Progress Pace, will resurface in the $40,000 Preferred Pace on Monday at Dover Downs

The return race for the five-year-old son of Badlands Hanover comes on the heels of four qualifying races – two at Dover Downs followed by a pair at the Meadowlands.

Badlands Nitro, a career winner in excess of $1.5 million, hangs his harness bag in the barn of George Teague, Jr. The 15-time winner is owned by Badlands Racing LLC of Chadds Ford, PA and Teague Inc of Harrington, DE.

Post time for the first race is 4:30 p.m.
