Today, the newly renovated gaming floor at OLG Slots at Ajax Downs officially opened its doors to the public. The gaming floor introduces 800 new slot machines to the

facility, including player favourites like Wizard of Oz and Fort Knox and 50 new one-cent machines.

The expanded facility also offers improved player amenities, including a parking lot shuttle service, a new patron smoking patio, two additional self-serve areas for patrons, and a redesigned lottery area and coat check.

"We are pleased to officially open the new gaming floor at OLG Slots at Ajax Downs," said Larry Flynn, Senior Vice President, Gaming. "We're excited that the additional slot machines and improved amenities will continue to enhance the gaming experience for all of our patrons."

As part of OLG's commitment to responsible gaming, the expanded gaming floor will soon include a full-service Responsible Gaming Resource Centre (RGRC), one of 27 full and self-service RGRCs to be operated and managed by the Responsible Gambling Council. The RGRC will provide OLG customers with essential information about the risks of problem gambling, tips on recognizing warning signs, and links to treatment or counseling services. The redevelopment at OLG Slots at Ajax Downs has also created 66 new jobs. The facility is operated and managed by OLG, and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Since opening in 2006, it has attracted more than 4.6 million visitors.
