Jukich Takes New Role At Century Mile
Century Mile Racetrack and Casino has announced that Racing Manager Matt Jukich has accepted the new role of Racing and Wagering Development Manager, effective immediately.
Since November 2018, Jukich held the title of Racing Manager at Century Mile and was in charge of the day-to-day racing operation at Century Mile. He played an integral part with that role in the final stages of construction and subsequent opening of the facility in April 2019 followed by the navigation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
An open recruitment will take place to fill the vacated role as well as the vacant Thoroughbred Racing Secretary position. Jukich will still be working to transition the department in the interim.
In the new role, Jukich will primarily be responsible for the growth of racing related revenues for both Century Mile and Century Downs.
"We believe the two facilities are poised to capture market share and grow racing in Alberta and Western Canada and Jukich will work with members of the teams to elevate the product, increase distribution and wagering on all facets of live horse racing at the two facilities," said Paul Ryneveld, Managing Director of Racing for Century Downs and Century Mile. "In addition, Matt will be the voice and face of racing at Century Mile, utilizing his talent and previous experience in the booth at the defunct Northlands Park."
