Flamboro Preferred To Power And Grace
After celebrating a class-dropping score over Grand River Raceway’s half-miler on September 8, Power And Grace marched up the class ladder to the $11,500 Preferred 2 class at Flamboro Downs on Thursday and came away victorious yet again.
With Brett MacDonald at the lines, Power And Grace powered to the lead from Post 2 and then rolled the field through fractions of :28, :57.2 and 1:26.3 before using a :29.3 kicker to win by 2-3/4 lengths over I Got The Looks. Taking home third prize in the six-horse affair was Esquire.
Hartel Maintenance Inc and Lormer McClure own the six-year-old daughter of Holiday Road-Mark Of Honour with Lormer McClure. It was her fourth win of the season and the 28th lifetime tally for the career winner of $233,510.
The card also featured one division of the Prospect Series for two-year-old trotting fillies, and heavily favoured Tioga Sunshine went down the road to win in 2:03.2 for driver Travis Henry and trainer Harry Poulton.
Henry hustled the daughter of Muscle Mass-Starfall Winner through fractions of :30.4, 1:01.4 and 1:32.4 before kicking home in :30.3 to win by a length over Molise. Third prize went City Lady.
It was the second win of the season for the career winner of $13,794 who is owned by Thestable Tioga Sunshine and Little E LLC.
