Britflix Yearling Videos Available
Last year, Brittany Farms helped give rise to a new concept of filming yearling videos — namely, “virtual inspections” — and that continues this year with the farm’s just released 2021 yearling videos.
It’s the “new fall season” of the movies the farm calls “Britflix,” and features all 25 of the Brittany yearlings that will be sold at the Lexington Selected Sale, Oct. 5-9.
“Last fall, with the pandemic in full force, we really wanted buyers who couldn’t get to the farm or the sale to still have the opportunity for what’s as close as you can get to a hands-on yearling inspection,” said farm manager Art Zubrod.
“Those buyers, both domestic and foreign, were thrilled with what we offered; what we didn’t anticipate so much was that even buyers who later came to the farm, or attended the sale in person, would be so appreciative of a much-improved early inspection tool.”
The videos show not only walking and action, but zoom-in front, back and side views, along with close ups of every conformation point on each horse.
Brittany is coming off a year in which it was voted the “2020 Breeder of the Year;” a title that was also bestowed on the farm in 2019.
“We think this year’s crop of yearlings is every bit the equal to, or better than, the crops that helped us win back-to-back Breeder of the Year awards,” Zubrod said. “I think a look at the pedigrees and the individuals themselves back up that belief.”
