I used to love driving out to Flamboro for an afternoon of racing. Whoever changed the racing to all evenings did not have the customers in mind. I have talked to dozens of people over the years, that would love to get some 1pm post times back.. I am not driving from Toronto, and then coming home at 11 pm.. Most seniors I talk to, would love afternoon racing.

The Confederation cup should be held in September, this would be very helpful to Ontario horses. Their level of fitness at this point of the year is good rather than racing the cup in May because the American horses are coming in more fit and they have more access to warmer climates for training over the winter months, where Ontario horses are at a disadvantage. Changing the race date for the cup to September will level the playing field as far as fitness goes.
