Georgian To Host Four-Year-Old Invite
Recent Preferred Pace winners Tattoo Artist and Warrawee Vital are set to square off as part of a $100,000 Four-Year-Old Invitational Pace this Sunday (August 22) at Georgian Downs.
The newly minted millionaire, Tattoo Artist, enters Georgian's Invitational fresh off a career-best 1:47.1 victory in a Preferred on Hambletonian Day at The Meadowlands for trainer Chris Ryder.
The O'Brien Award winner has earned three wins and three thirds from 11 starts while earning $95,704 racing stateside this year. A 16-time career winner, the son of Hes Watching is owned by Let It Ride Stables Inc., Frank Cannon, Diamond Creek Racing and J And T Silva Stables LLC.
Trained by Rob Fellows, Warrawee Vital has won his two previous races, including last Saturday's Preferred at Woodbine Mohawk Park in 1:49.3.
The son of Captaintreacherous sports a seasonal summary of 3-3-2 from 11 starts with just over $100,000 in purse earnings for Ontario-based owners Yolanda Fellows and M&s Racing Stable Inc. A career winners of 11 races and $348,506, Warrawee Vital boasts a lifetime mark of 1:47.1 taken in Grand Circuit action at The Red Mile last fall.
The Invitational will share the spotlight with the 2021 edition of the $75,000 Hon. Earl Rowe Memorial Trot, with the draws for both races to be conducted on Thursday, Aug. 19.
