Kwik Talkin Takes Preferred

Travis Henry left hard from the rail with Kwik Talkin, but it was Pembrook Legacy N who wound up sprinting to the early lead. He held rail control at the quarter pole in :27, but Henry had Kwik Talkin up and driving after the leader.
Kwik Talkin cleared to the lead and went on to post middle fractions of :56 and 1:23.4 before using a :28.3 closing panel to win by a neck over Pembrook Legacy N. Life Is Better came on late to be a lapped-on third.
Sent off as the 6-5 favourite, the six-year-old son of Well Said-Kwik Dial improved his 2021 record to 2-0-1 from eight attempts for trainer Amanda Fine. The 15-time winner is owned by Scott & Lisa Henry of Odessa, ON.
