Irish-Bred Sells For Six Figures
Irish-bred Oakwoodnitownit IR hasn't cracked the six-figure mark in earnings, but one participant feels strongly enough about his potential that he was willing to shell out six figures to obtain ownership.
High-level pacer Oakwoodnitownit IR p,5,1:50.1f ($86,789) brought a winning bid of $100,000 to lead all auctions Tuesday at onGait.com.
New Jersey’s Victor Leonardis is the new owner of the Foreclosure N five-year-old. The famed partnership of Weaver Bruscemi LLC of Pennsylvania was the consignor. Also on Tuesday, Day To Bet p,3,1:52.1f ($17,083), a three-year-old son of Betting Line from the Brian Brown outfit, sold for $26,000 to Western Pennsylvania-based horseman John Sullivan.
On Monday, the Always B Miki sophomore Grand Cayman p,3,1:54f ($35,534) reached a winning bid of $22,800 from Sean Bier. The partnership of Mike Hall, CTC Stable and Howard
Taylor was the seller.
