Prix de France to Meaulnes du Corta
Avenging his loss in the Prix d'Amerique two weeks ago, Meaulnes du Corta returned to Vincennes for the $525,000 Prix de France and would not be denied
.
With trainer Pierre Levesque at the lines, 10-year-old Meaulnes du Corta (Voici du Niel - Cigale) was eased up to the lead of the 2,100 metre event around the halfway point of the race. In the last 30 years, only Ourasi and Naglo have won this race in consecutive years.
Rolling d´Heripré finished second but was disqualified, bumping Premiere Steed up to second and Queen's Glory to third.
