Test Of Faith Returns To Yonkers
Fresh off a win in the Park MGM Pace final on July 2, Test Of Faith will return to Yonkers Raceway on Thursday, July 15 to race in one of three New York Sire Stakes divisions for sophomore pacing fillies.
Test Of Faith, a daughter of Art Major trained by Brett Pelling for owners Mel Segal, Kentuckiana Racing Stable, and Eddie Gran, has drawn post four in the opening $51,300 flight (race two). Regular driver David Miller is listed on Test Of Faith, who has a record of 12-1-0 from 13 lifetime starts to go with earnings of $637,700.
Heart Of Mine leads the second $50,400 split (race three) and drew post three. Heart Of Mine is two-for-two so far in the New York Sire Stakes program in 2021, won her elimination of the Park MGM Pace, and was second to Test Of Faith in the final. Scott Zeron will drive the daughter of Roll With Joe for trainer Linda Toscano and owners Bays Stable, Radio Racing Stable, Fred Wallace, and Camelot Stable. Summer Rae (post two), Purameri (post five), and Rightfully Mine have also won in New York Sire Stakes action this season.
All the fillies in the third $51,300 section (race four) are in search of their initial New York Sire Stakes tally in 2021, but Easy To Please, post five, Jordan Stratton) was the runner-up to Heart Of Mine at Buffalo Raceway back on July 2nd, as was So Diva (post one, Jason Bartlett) to Rightfully Mine.
Yonkers Raceway also has New York Sire Stakes action on Tuesday night (July 13) for three-year-old colt and gelding trotters, featuring MGM Yonkers Trot runner-up Ambassador Hanover (post four, Ake Svanstedt) in one $74,500 contest (race two), and Ahundreddollarbill (post four, Andrew McCarthy), who won his MGM Yonkers Trot elimination and was fourth in the final, in the other (race three).
Both Tuesday’s and Thursday's cards get underway at 7:15 p.m.
