The second half of Thursday's card of racing at Flamboro Downs was bought to you by the letter Z

. Z for Zeron. Scott Zeron, who scored a five-bagger over the last eight races.

Zeron, 20, kicked off his win spree aboard Joseph Burchowycz, Steve Adams and Martin Migneault's Vapour Trail (Northern Luck - Our Wild Angel) in Race 7, who was claimed from conditioner Jean Jacques Kovacs for $7,800. The next two races completed the natural hat trick for Zeron, as Amy Atom (Cr Renegade - Khaz Mcdust) was a winner for trainer Pete Marostega and owners Frank Lamacchia and Antonio Miceli in Race 8, followed by Casimir I Spy (Sir Luck - Top Notch Hillary) for Memory Lane Stables and trainer-co-owner Cory Fuller in Race 9.

Selecting both of Zeron's drives in the late double would have been profitable, as Zeron piloted both winners for a $14.00 payout. Acdc Blue Chip (Muscles Yankee - Armonica Hanover) won Race 13 for trainer Rene Allard and owner Investissement K F B, while the finale on the card - Zeron's fifth winner on the day - went to Kg Kool (Jennas Beach Boy - Nukes Charm Girl) for trainer Cory Fuller and owner Douglas Covert.

With 48 wins on the year thus far, Scott Zeron's win total ranks him among Canada's leaders and the young reinsman is approaching 500 lifetime tallies.
