Horner Succeeds Blackmore At Mohawk
Woodbine Entertainment would like to congratulate Rick Blackmore, Manager of Racing Surfaces at Woodbine Mohawk Park, on his upcoming retirement.
Blackmore joined Woodbine Entertainment in December 2002 and has been the Manager of Racing Surfaces for Woodbine Mohawk Park since the track became the home of year-round racing in spring 2018. Always a friendly face and conversation, Woodbine and the horse racing community would like to thank Blackmore for his service over the years and wish him well in retirement.
With Blackmore’s retirement, Woodbine is pleased to announce veteran horseman Mark Horner has been named the new Manager of Racing Surfaces for Woodbine Mohawk Park.
An active member of the Ontario horse racing community, Horner is a longtime breeder, owner and trainer and has been involved with various organizations, including Standardbred Canada and Central Ontario Standardbred Association.
Horner, who was recently elected a COSA Director, Mark Horner, has resigned effective immediately due to a conflict of interest.
COSA would like to thank Mark for his service and commitment to the Board and its members. We wish Mark all the best in his new position with Woodbine Entertainment.
COSA would also like to thank Rick Blackmore for his years of service at Woodbine Entertainment and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
