Members of the Ontario Harness Horse Association’s group RRSP that wish to make an early contribution to their 2010 RRSP, and use their tax receipts towards their 2009 tax year, must make the contribution to OHHA by

February 25.

Although most RRSP publicity to the general public says contributions must be made by March 1, OHHA needs a few days in advance to make the members’ deposits and transfer the funds to Manulife by March 1.

Annual Contribution forms are available on the OHHA website, or by calling the OHHA office.

Manulife mailed 2009 RRSP contribution receipts in early January. Members are reminded to keep those receipts for use on their 2009 income tax. Manulife charges $10 to replace receipts.

OHHA will be mailing T4a’s for the OHHA contribution to members’ accounts by February 28.
