Bolt Of Beauty charged late to capture the $9,000 Fillies and Mares Open Pace at Tioga Downs on Saturday (June 26).
Miss Irish Rose A darted to the front and led to the first quarter in :26.4. She went :28.2 in the second quarter to hit the half first in :54.2. American Delight N made the first move heading for the last turn. Miss Irish Rose A led to three-quarters in 1:22.1.
As they made the turn for home American Delight N took over the lead. Bolt Of Beauty went three-wide down the stretch. She motored right on by to win easily in a lifetime best of 1:51. American Delight N held on for second. Talk Show Chica came up to finish third.
Bolt Of Beauty is a four-year-old mare by Bolt The Duer. She is owned by Sarah Miller, Tenah Merah Farms and trainer Erv Miller. It was her third-straight open win at Tioga. She has five wins this season and 12 victories overall. Marcus Miller drove the $8.50 winner.
Wally Hennessey won four races on the card. He got his wins with Prairie Gold Mines ($5.30), Persistent Bettor ($3.10), Lyons Johnny ($6.70), and Landry Sellster ($5.30).
Mike Merton drove three winners on the card. He was first with Oreo Dream Xtreme ($11.20), Delightful Trysta ($11.40), and Watchwhatmyfeetdo $10.40.
Erv Miller trained two winners on the card. He once again teamed with Marcus Miller to get the other win with Cheers For Chips ($3.40).
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Sunday (June 27) with a 12-race card starting at 1:00 p.m. (EDT).
